Showing
My advice for someone new wanting to start showing their cat is to join a cat club. In the club you will meet folks that are either breeders or individuals who show for fun and have been showing for years.
They can give you advice on how to select a good breeder, to purchase your first show cat, grooming tips, items you will need at a show and much, much more. They have so much experience and are quite welling to help a newbie out.
Bo Soleil and I have learned so much since our very first show in Lavel, Quebec in the spring when Bo was only 4 months old.
Bo Soleil's very first show in Laval, Quebec. He is very relaxed and contented and having lots of fun. What a little sweetie.
Bo Soleil took very well to the crowd, other cats, and all the noise. Here he is in his Popup Cage checking out the scenery.
Bo Soleil taking a peek around while waiting to be groomed before going to his first judging ring.
Bo did not final in any of the rings, but it was still a great day as it gave him experience of being surround by alot of people and other cats for up coming shows.
We even had time to see Lynn of Blue Sky Photograph and have her photograph Bo Soleil.
Here is our Bo Soleil having fun posing for the camera for Lynn. He sure is a handsome little dude.
Our Bo Soleil sure has changed since his first show in Laval, Quebec as a 4 month old kitten. He is now 10 months old and has been competiting against
adult cats since he has turned 8 months.
But the good news is he is holding his own in the show ring, here he is waiting for his turn to be judged
at the CFA show in St. Jean, Quebec.
Being judged by Roger Lawrence one of the show judges at the St. Jean Show.
and he is still coming home
with ribbons.
